Rescue & rebuild · Qualia Labs, Kent, UK
Your app is half-finished and the developer has gone. We will tell you what is worth keeping.
We start with an audit. We read the code, run it, and check where it is hosted and who holds the accounts. You get a written report of what to keep, what to replace, and a fixed price to finish it.
01 / What we build
What that looks like.
Code, hosting, accounts and data, read by the people who would do the work. The report is yours whatever you decide.
Repository, app store accounts, domains and hosting moved into your name, so you are never stuck again.
A fixed price for what is left, built in two-week blocks with working software at the end of each.
Sometimes starting again costs less than repairing. If so, the audit says so, with the numbers.
02 / How it works
Fixed price, after one week.
Every build starts with a paid one-week scoping sprint. We take the idea apart and hand back a written spec and a fixed price, which is yours to keep whether or not you continue, and its cost comes off the build. Then clickable screens before any production code, the build in two-week blocks, launch, and a handover with everything in your name.
There are two of us, Sharan on software and product and Daniel on design and brand, and we do the work ourselves. How we work · Ways to work together
Most projects run between £25,000 and £75,000 depending on scope.
03 / Questions
Before you ask.
What if the code is unusable?
Then the audit says so plainly and quotes a rebuild instead. You will not pay us to patch something that will not last.
How is the audit priced?
It is our one-week scoping sprint, and its cost is deducted from the build if you go ahead.
How do we avoid this happening again?
Everything lives in your accounts, the code is documented, and we keep the stack deliberately boring so any competent developer can pick it up.
Who owns the code afterwards?
You do, along with the repository, accounts and domains.
